Hannu Salonen is directing the star-studded sports drama “Adams Acht”, which will also be filmed in Slovakia.
Filming of “Adams Acht” will also take place in Slovakia, starting in early September 2025.
In the sports drama “Adams Acht”, director Hannu Salonen brings to the screen a powerful story from Olympic history. With a cast led by Oliver Masucci, Felix Kammerer, Svenja Jung, and Leonard Kunz, the film portrays a legendary chapter of German rowing – the story of the Ratzeburg eight, who won gold at the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome under the guidance of coach Karl Adam. “Adams Acht” will be distributed by Majestic Filmverleih and is set to premiere in cinemas on September 10, 2026.
Star-studded cast
An exceptional ensemble has been assembled for the leading roles: Oliver Masucci (“The Royal Game”) plays the visionary coach Karl Adam; Felix Kammerer (“All Quiet on the Western Front”) portrays the emotionally torn rower Hans Lenk; Svenja Jung (“Deutschland 89”, “The Empress”) appears as his great love Ulla; and Leonard Kunz (“The Tiger”) plays the team’s strongest athlete and stroke rower. The cast is further enriched by a number of emerging national talents and Olympic-experienced athletes. Additional prominent cast members include Axel Milberg, Heino Ferch, Katrin Röver, and Stephanie Amarell.
