Nová Dubnica

Nová Dubnica is a town in the Trenčín Region. It is located in the Ilava Basin at the foothills of the Strážovské vrchy mountains.  The architecture of Nová Dubnica is an example of the post-war style of construction in Slovakia. The town was originally built as a housing estate for workers from the Heavy Engineering Plant in Dubnica nad Váhom and was located 5 km from the armory in case of bombing. The project was designed by architect Jiří Kroha in the style of socialist realism.
