Plavecký Štvrtok Sandpit
The area is located in the southwest of Slovakia between the river Morava and the Little Carpathians. The sand was formed by winding from the alluvium of the Morava river in particular. They consist of almost pure quartz sand. They are mined and used in foundries, glass and construction.
