Šomoška

Šomoška Castle is unique among the Slovak castles as it is built of unconventional hexagonal basalt pillars. It is situated right next to the border of Slovakia and Hungary. The trail to the castle is surrounded by groves, artificial ponds and unique volcanic rock formations. The most beautiful of these formations is the “Stone Waterfall”.
