Punkchart films was established in 2009 by Marek Lescak (scriptwriter), Maros Slapeta (editor) and Ivan Ostrochovsky (director / producer), all experienced and respected filmmakers and film professionals.

Punkchart films has already succeeded in building up a strong portofolio of independent, art house projects, focusing on creative documentaries, international co-productions and feature film production. Since its establishment, it has been linked to domestically and internationally credible film professionals - Martin Kollar (cinematographer, director), Juraj Lehotsky (director), Miro Remo (director), Jaro Vojtek (director), Iveta Grofova (director), Peter Kristufek (director), Jiri Konecny (producer) and many others.

​Besides producing television series, Punkchart films also produced and co-produced a number of successful festival titles: BELLS OF HAPPINESS, MADE IN ASH, EUGENIC MINDS, THE EDGE, GUARD, KYLIAN, THE WAY UP, KOZA, FAMILY FILM, 5 OCTOBER, HOTEL SUNRISE, THIS IS NOT ME or NINA.

The company is in development and production of several feature and documentary projects, such as THE DISCIPLE, PUNK IS NOT DEAD!, FREM, 7 DAYS, LITTLE MOSCOW and others.
