Solivar

The salt warehouse, which is part of the historic NKP Solivar complex in Prešov, is one of the most important technical monuments in Slovakia. The unique complex of technical objects for pumping brine and cooking salt from the 17th century is unique of its kind not only in Slovakia. The salt was stored in the individual salt chambers of the warehouse, which was architecturally the most impressive (late Baroque) building in the entire area and formed the dominant feature of the former Solivar.  In addition to the renovated salt warehouse in Solivar, there are also other technical facilities.
