Liptovský Mikuláš

Liptovský Mikuláš is a town in northern Slovakia, on the Váh River. It lies in the Liptov region near the Low and High Tatra mountains. The town is one of the most famous tourist centers in Slovakia.
An interesting sight is the manor house Vranovo, whose historical interest is that the legendary bandit and folk hero Juraj Jánošík was imprisoned here before his execution. Thanks to this, the manor is also known as "Jánošík's Prison".
