Liptov

Liptov is a geographical region in central Slovakia. It is one of the most visited regions in Slovakia, for the many sights and attractions it offers.
Indeed, there are many, such as four publically accessible caves: Demänovská Cave of Liberty, Demänovská Ice Cave, Važecká Cave and Stanišovská Cave. The biggest ski resort in Slovakia - Jasná, is located there as well as the ski park called Malinô Brdo. Thanks to its thermal water springs it also hosts many thermal aqua-parks. Vlkolínec, the village that is untouched and a complex example of folk countryside architecture of the region of the Northern Carpathians, is listed as UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Liptov region also has a number of fine, wooden churches.
