Chateau Appony

Situated between the cities of Nitra and Topoľčany, the Chateau Appony is a renaissance manor, situated in a small village called Oponice, which belonged to the noble Hungarian Apponyi family. After a reconstruction completed in 2011, the mansion was restored to its original form and a rare baroque library, for which the mansion was famous, with 17 324 volumes returned. 

Today, the chateau serves a four-star hotel. The location's charm is enhanced by a nine-hectare park with rare trees. There are also tennis courts and a park lake.
