Devín Lake

Devín Lake is an exceptional natural habitat that is located in the floodplains between Morava River and Devínska Nová Ves in Bratislava. A large part of this area has remained preserved since it used to be part of the strictly guarded border of the Iron Curtain. The wetlands with its riparian forests have remained untouched. The meadows of Morava River are an important resting place for tens of thousands of birds. Here you can find the Marchegg viaduct, which is a 474 metre long bridge between Devínska Nová Ves and Marchegg that used to be one of the biggest bridges in the Kingdom of Hungary.
