Bratislava

Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is set along the Danube River by the border with Austria and Hungary. It’s surrounded by vineyards and the Little Carpathian mountains, crisscrossed with forested hiking and cycling trails. Perched atop a hill, the reconstructed Bratislava Castle overlooks the Old Town, the Danube and Petrzalka - the largest new borough of Bratislava.

Bratislava is the political, cultural and economic centre of Slovakia. It is the seat of the Slovak president, the parliament and the Slovak Executive. It has several universities, many museums, theatres, galleries and other cultural and educational institutions as well as many Slovak and international large businesses and financial institutions.
