Mausoleum Krásnohorské Podhradie

The mausoleum in Krásnohorské Podhradie is the resting place of Count Dionýz Andrássy (1835-1913) and his wife Františka Hablawetz (1831-1902). It was built in 1903-1904 according to the designs of the Munich architect Richard Berndl and its decoration was created by the sculptor Max Frick and the painter Karl Throll. The mausoleum is a unique work of early 20th-century art inspired by early Christian, Byzantine and Carolingian art. A 4.5 hectare park surrounds the building.
