Holic manor

Manor house in Holíč – a baroque-classical monumental manor house with fortifications, built on old foundations, a distinctive architectural landmark on the western outskirts of the city. In the course of the Gothic and Renaissance periods, it changed owners several times, among the most important were Stibor from Beckov in the 15th century, Czoborovci and Bakičovci in the 16th and 17th centuries. In 1736, František Lotrinský bought the manor together with the adjacent properties. Since then, it belonged to the imperial Habsburg family, which had it rebuilt in the middle of the 18th century into a modern and luxuriously furnished summer residence.
