Travel regulations:

  • Entering the country with the EU Digital COVID certificate

All travellers can enter Slovakia if their 'EU Digital COVID Certificate' contains one of the following:

  • Proof of vaccination completed 14 days after receiving the full vaccination (2-dose) and 21 days (1-dose) after completing the 1-dose vaccination series.
  • Double dose or single dose vaccines are valid for 9 months. All types of vaccines are accepted.
  • COVID-19 certificate of recovery. Recovery status is valid within 180 days of recovery.

All travellers must complete the Registration Form. If arriving by air, they must also complete the Passenger Locator Form.

Unvaccinated travellers, and persons who have not recovered from COVID-19 within the past 180 days, are required to self-isolate for 5 days on arrival, unless they
obtain a negative PCR test result. Tests can be carried out immediately on arrival.

Children below 12 years and 2 months are exempt from quarantine and testing requirements.

  • Entering the country without the EU Digital COVID certificate or with a certificate not compliant with national requirements

Documents equivalent to the 'EU Digital COVID Certificate' (EUDCC) are also accepted, if they meet the same requirements listed above for the EUDCC.

Monitor your health (and accompanying persons, too) and if you observe any symptoms of respiratory disease, call without any delay:

  1. the healthcare provider who provides healthcare to you in the relevant specialisation and with whom you have an agreement on the provision of healthcare;
  2. if you do not have a healthcare provider in the territory of the Slovak Republic, call the emergency number 112.
The costs incurred and covered in connection with the respective regulations of the Public Health Authority will be considered eligible costs within the
realization of projects by Audiovisual Fund.
